Outerbike Exceeds Fundraising Goal to Build 50+ Kids’ Bikes with Can’d Aid for The Diné Bike Project

Volunteers invited to join Outerbike & legendary mountain biker Jeff Lenosky at the Bar M Trailhead in Moab on Saturday, October 3rd at 3PM.

MOAB, UT — Outerbike is thrilled to announce that it has officially surpassed its 2026 fundraising goal for its annual kids’ bike build initiative, raising $16,758.74 toward its initial $14,800.00 target. Partnering with national nonprofit Can’d Aid, Outerbike will channel these funds into assembling and donating over 50 brand-new bicycles for youth on the Navajo Nation through The Diné Bike Project.

Building on last year’s success—where volunteers built and donated over 40 bikes—this year’s campaign sets a new milestone for community-driven impact within the mountain biking world.

All Outerbike attendees, local community members, and trail enthusiasts are invited to come lend a hand, turn a wrench, and help assemble the bikes on-site during Outerbike Moab.

Teaming Up with Can’d Aid for Impact

To make this vision a reality, Outerbike is once again partnering with Can’d Aid, a national nonprofit dedicated to spreading “do-goodery” by getting kids active, outdoors, and on bikes.

Legendary mountain bike athlete, “Trail Boss,” and Can’d Aid / REEB Cycles ambassador Jeff Lenosky spoke to the heart of what this collaboration means for the cycling community:

By partnering with Can’d Aid—an organization dedicated to spreading good vibes and empowering youth through physical activity and music—Outerbike ensures that local enthusiasm translates directly into opportunities for young riders across the region.

Raising the funds is only half the fun—now it’s time to build the bikes! We are inviting all Outerbike attendees, local Moab residents, and visiting trail enthusiasts to come lend a hand.

You don’t need to be a professional bike mechanic to help. We’ll have tools, guidance, and plenty of stoke on-site to get every single bike assembled and safety-checked for its new owner.
