Moab Mountain Biking - Private Trip

We will meet at Western Spirit headquarters before heading out to ride the Moab Brand Trails, a system of stacked loops near town which are the perfect introduction to Moab mountain biking. There are many trail options, ranging from introductory to intermediate to advanced, from slickrock to classic desert singletrack. Those that want to can ride the paved bike path back to town before cocktails and dinner. TOTAL MILEAGE: 10 - 35 miles

After a delicious breakfast we will head up to Canyonlands National Park to ride on the world-famous White Rim Trail. We begin our ride with a dramatic descent of the Shafer Trail switchbacks. This 1,200 foot downhill lasts for three miles and brings us down to the White Rim sandstone layer. From there we will ride to Musselman Arch, an incredible natural sandstone span, which is also a great lunch spot. The return trip will be just as beautiful as you enjoy the vast views and rock formations that make up this part of Canyonlands. TOTAL MILEAGE: 17 miles

DAY 3

Some of the newest trails in Moab are in an area called Klonzo. Trails include Secret Passage, Snippet, Borderline, Wahoo and Boondocks, and we will work on our singletrack riding skills. There are additional optional trails at Klonzo 2, for those that want even more riding. If the White Rim Trail is about the spectacular scenery, Klonzo trails are all about the fun. TOTAL MILEAGE: 10 - 20 miles

Today we will shuttle up to Dead Horse Point State Park to ride the amazing Intrepid Trail system. We will be riding high above the Colorado River and see its course for miles. The views are incredible! The trails are of varying difficulty; we can ride them all or ride a few. TOTAL MILEAGE: 10-18 miles

As we ride the trails at Klondike Bluffs we will really use our new Moab mountain biking skills. Trails include Mega Steps, Baby Steps, Alaska, EKG, Little Salty, Inside Passage, Dino-Flow and more! We will put together a day of great riding on these fun and challenging trails, and stop to see some of the preserved dinosaur tracks that are in this unique area. TOTAL MILEAGE: 10 - 30 miles

For our last day of riding, we will have a number of options depending on the group’s desires. After our last lunch and ride together, we will say our good-byes. TOTAL MILEAGE: 10 - 30 miles

“The guides have been all exceedingly friendly, helpful, and genuinely fun to be around, especially to my son, whose first question upon returning home is always, "Where are we going next year?" ”
