Group Bike Trip

A mighty group trip on the White Rim.

For groups of ten or more, we offer private trips with custom itineraries. We will help you find the perfect route to accommodate all of your friends. We'll take care of all the planning, permits, and logistics.

For super special occasions, we offer our White Linen Tour: two extra guides, a massage therapist, white linen tablecloths, and even a guest chef from one of our favorite restaurants.
At your request, private tours can include expert naturalists or archaeologists.

"Probably like a lot of other folks who have done your tours, I find myself dreaming about portions of the tour about every day and cannot wait to get back and do another."

Steve Stevenson, January 2002

THE WHITE LINEN OPTION

White Linen ToursIn addition to the full service we provide on our regular mountain bike tours, the White Linen Option is available for private groups. As always, our vehicle carries all the gear and our guides do all the cooking. On our White Linen tour, your trip will be enhanced by a professional chef, a massage therapist, and of course white linen table cloths, china and candlelight. All of this in the middle of the desert, on top of a mountain, or right next to a natural hot spring.

When you arrive at camp, your tent will await you complete with a deluxe camp mattress, sleeping bag, full size pillow and your personal bags. A thick fuzzy towel will direct you to the shower cabana where you can wash off the dust from the day's ride. You may enjoy appetizers such as smoked trout mousse or peekytoe crabcake with curry aioli prepared by your professional chef as the sun casts a warm glow on the landscape. Our professional massage therapists will be ready to ease your cycling aches before dinner.

Private ChefYour Private Chef Our talented chef will prepare a menu to meet your specifications, focusing on seasonal ingredients and local flavor. The possibilities are endless: Eggs benedict, spiced apple cider oatmeal, smoked salmon and homemade breakfast breads to start the day. Lunch can be delicious salmon farfalle salad with dill vinaigrette, spit roasted turkey breast sandwiches, hot and sour duck soup or smoked chicken tamales with black bean sauce and chipolte crËme. Dinner is the big event starting with fabulous soups such as truffled pheasant tortellini in a wild mushroom broth or roasted garlic and white bean soup. Entrees may include grilled buffalo tenderloin with root vegetable cake and foie gras or ahi tuna with ginger sesame sauce. A decadent desert will top off the day, possibly pear charlotte with ginger caramel sauce, pineapple tart tatin or crËme brulee.

The Dining Tent Imagine Out of Africa, but instead of white canvas, we have gortex. In our dining tent we will have sit down dinners with white linen, every possible wine glass, plus all the silver and china. Of course the view from the dining tent is what makes it so spectacular. On our Grand Staircase tour the view includes Brimhall Arch, the Waterpocket Fold and the Henry Mountains. On our White Rim tour in Canyonlands National Park you are surrounded by the fascinating formations of the Colorado Plateau, as it works its way towards the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. On our Backcountry Hot Springs trip in Sun Valley, Idaho, we'll camp each night next to a clear and steaming natural hot spring, the perfect prelude to your massage.

Massage TherapistA Massage Therapist Just like the cycling pros, you'll be able to have a relaxing massage after your ride. Our massage therapists are professionals and specially trained in sports related work. We bring along a large tent, massage table and heater if necessary to provide a professional experience. Nothing feels better than a real massage after cycling.

Area Experts If you would like to have a geologist, a wildflower expert, or perhaps an astronomer along for part of your tour, this too can be arranged. While our guides are all very knowledgeable about each of the areas we visit, having a real expert along can make the trip even more enjoyable. On our Trail of the Ancients tour we visit the Abajo Mountains, the home of the Anasazi Indians. We will see their ancient dwellings which date back over 1000 years. On our trip to the Maze, we will see the Harvest Scene, a rock art panel painted by archaic people two to three thousand years ago. Having an archaeologist along can lend rich insight to the ancient art.
