Consider a Green Mountain Bike Vacation

Posted by Angela on Jun 30 2008 | Angela, Family Bike Trips, Mountain biking, Trip Report

We all want to do our part to have less of an impact on the environment.
One way in which we can do that is to travel with respect for the
environment and choose a green vacation.

Western Spirit Cycling trips are supported by one vehicle that carries all
of the food and equipment to support thirteen guests and two guides. We
practice Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the backcountry and
educate our guests on how to do the same.

The principles of Leave No Trace are Plan Ahead and Prepare, Travel and Camp
on Durable Surfaces, Dispose of Waste Properly, Leave What You Find,
Minimize Campfire Impacts, Respect Wildlife, Be Considerate of Other
Visitors. To learn more about Leave No Trace visit their website .

After spending a week sleeping outside under the stars and pedaling your
bicycle thru aspens or canyons you can’t help but have a greater
appreciation for the wilderness.
